The 'click day'

Ely Nature | MAR 20

Sometimes people ask me how long it takes to do a split or a headstand. It's hard to answer because bodies are different, fear levels are different, etc...but I think there is a day that a 'click' happens. It's a mix of your body understanding what needs to be done, information in your brain finds a practical way to express, and you trust, in your heart, you can do it.

After that day, things start to progress faster. A lot of people give up before the 'click day' though (for different reasons).

My current thoughts about what is needed: patience not to do something risky that can lead to an accident or injury. Consistency|persistence not to give up after repeated daily failures. Surrender|humility to accept that some kind of energy needs to enter all the space between your more minuscule particles in your body to make a shape an asana.
